Getting started

Requirements

PHP 8.1+ with PDO SQLite (or MySQL), cURL, mbstring and GD (for WebP images). Any host that runs PHP 8 will do.

Install on a server

  1. Upload the app/ and public_html/ folders; point your domain’s document root at public_html/.
  2. Run the installer once over SSH:
php app/cli.php install --sqlite --email=you@example.com --password=change-me-now --url=https://yourdomain.com

For MySQL: --mysql --host=localhost --db=NAME --user=USER --pass=PASS. 3. Log in at /admin.

Preview on a Mac

Double-click Start (Mac).command in the download. It installs PHP with Homebrew if needed, creates a local database and opens the site.

Configure

  • Site identity, navigation, collections and forms live in app/site.json.
  • Settings in Admin: site URL, Google Analytics, Search Console verification, AdSense publisher ID, Amazon tag, lead email.
